Clubs that are members of the KNZB automatically participate (provided that a starting number has been entered for each participant) in both the Fryslân Open and the Dutch Open Championship. The ranking of the Open Dutch Championship is a so-called "cleaned up" ranking that only includes participants from clubs that are registered/members of the KNZB.
